How We Keep MemoArc Free

MemoArc is a free service supported entirely by advertising. We show relevant ads to users and share engagement metrics with ad partners. This funding model allows us to:

  • Keep the app free for everyone
  • Invest in new features and improvements
  • Maintain servers and security
  • Provide customer support

Where You'll See Ads

📢 Feed Ads

Sponsored posts appear after every 6-7 regular posts in your feed, clearly marked as "Sponsored."

🎪 Ad Carousel

A rotating carousel of ads appears at the top of the home page. You can browse through them or dismiss them.

⬇️ Bottom Banner

Optional ads or upgrade prompts appear at the bottom of the page (e.g., "Upgrade to Premium for ad-free").

🎯 Personalized Ads

With your consent, ads are tailored to your interests. You can disable personalization in Settings.

Displays contextual and personalized ads across the platform. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

Mediavine

Premium ad network for high-quality publishers. Higher CPM rates, premium experience. See Mediavine's Privacy Policy.

Outbrain

Content discovery and native advertising platform. Recommends relevant articles and content. See Outbrain's Privacy Policy.

Meta Audience Network

Facebook/Instagram ads shown across partner apps. See Meta's Privacy Policy.

Your Privacy & Ad Control

What Data Ad Partners See:

  • Device type (iPhone, Android, desktop)
  • General interests (travel, photography, etc.)
  • Content you view on MemoArc
  • Engagement metrics (clicks, impressions)

What They DO NOT See:

  • Your name or email
  • Your exact address or precise GPS location
  • Your payment information
  • Private messages or memories

💡 Take Control

Go to Settings → Privacy & Data → Ad Preferences to:

  • Disable personalized ads — See generic, non-targeted ads instead
  • Opt-out of tracking — Limit how much data is shared (requires manual opt-out with each ad partner)
  • View ad choices — Links to opt-out portals for Google, Meta, and other networks

Revenue Sharing & Transparency

We believe users deserve to know how ads benefit the platform:

  • CPM Revenue: We earn $5–30 per 1,000 ad impressions (varies by ad network and traffic source)
  • CPC Revenue: We earn $0.50–$5 per ad click
  • CPD Revenue: We earn $2–$10 per ad engagement (download, signup, etc.)
  • Usage: All revenue funds development, servers, security, and customer support

Responsible Advertising

We commit to showing only appropriate, safe, and relevant ads:

  • ❌ No harmful, illegal, or deceptive content
  • ❌ No unsafe products (weapons, illegal drugs, etc.)
  • ❌ No hate speech or discriminatory ads
  • ✅ All ads go through moderation before display
  • ✅ Users can report inappropriate ads

Found a bad ad? Report it to support@memoarc.com and we'll remove it.

Compliance & Legal

We comply with advertising regulations in all jurisdictions we serve:

  • GDPR (EU): Explicit opt-in for personalized ads; right to opt-out
  • CCPA (California): Right to know, delete, and opt-out of data sales
  • FTC (USA): All ads clearly marked as sponsored/ads
  • COPPA (Children): No personalized ads for users under 13
